It's seems like the people I become incredibly close to are always coming and going in my life. When is someone going to stay? What am I doing wrong? Am I pushing them away? Why can't I maintain an intimate relationship for more than a year? Is it because something truly amazing is on its way? Is it because these people get the real me and they don't like it? This is why I feel so alone. All the people I loved the most and felt the most connected to aren't around anymore or have found someone to be with. Somedays I feel like evaporating is my only option.

034.

A week from today is the closing reception for the BFA Senior Thesis Exhibit. It's amazing how fast this past semester has gone. I remember thinking, wow only four months until graduation. Now it's a week. There will be a Commencement Ceremony after the gallery reception and I've heard it's a lot of fun so I'm looking forward to that. And it doesn't hurt that my family will be in town to join me. Then, next Sunday, I graduate from college. This blog was dedicated to my final year and I don't really think I'll be posting here anymore. I'm not even sure if anyone reads this, but thanks if you did. I know I post my 365 pictures here but I'll probably stop doing that too. They're posted on my Flickr.

I'm officially done on Monday. I'm currently trying to write my thesis research paper and I have a lot of studying to do for my Media Ethics final. Thursday there's a photo event aka hanging out at the Y Not III and celebrating the end of our college career. Next week will also my last week of living in Milwaukee, so I'll hopefully be spending a lot of time with friends. I'm really excited to be moving back to my hometown and living there for a while. My Madison Magazine internship starts very soon. I'm thinking about starting a blog dedicated to Madison and my exploration around the city. I figure it's a good chance for me to get involved with the blogging community and social networking and to create something visual to use in my portfolio.

I'm assuming I'll post one more written entry after graduation, then after that this blog will be retired. When I do start something new I'll make sure to post it here.

xoxo

Our Ellipsis: Out of Camera show was this past weekend. The opening reception was Friday night. It was a wonderful evening. So many people I loved showed up, including my family. It was great all those people there, especially since most of them are from my hometown. It felt like I was home, which got me pumped for moving back home in three weeks. So far I've got a couple people interested in purchasing some prints. It's all so exciting.

I can't believe I made it to this point. I've been dreaming about the month of May for the past two semesters. My life has been a roller coaster and now there's a light at the end of the tunnel. A new beginning is coming. A new life. It's so refreshing. In the next three weeks I'll be finishing up my thesis paper, a publication design magazine project, viral media project, and a media ethics final. I've got everything organized. I'm stress free. I'm excited for the next show May 21st. And I'm really excited to graduate on the 22nd. Then it's a new internship and summer and time to start planning what's next.

I'm really really happy and proud of who I've become these past 5 years of college.
